About the circuit
The Brno Circuit, also known as the Masaryk Circuit, is located in Brno, Czech Republic, and boasts a rich history in motorsport, featuring both a historic road circuit and a modern permanent circuit. The original road circuit was used from 1930 until 1986 and measured up to 29.194 km in length, traversing public roads around Brno. It hosted many prestigious events including the Czechoslovakian Grand Prix. The modern permanent circuit, opened in 1987, is much shorter at 5.403 km and has continued the legacy of its predecessor by hosting significant events such as the Motorcycle Grand Prix of the Czech Republic and races for various international car and motorcycle championships. Today, the Brno Circuit is renowned for its challenging layout, incorporating a mix of high-speed sectors and technical corners, set against a scenic backdrop. It remains a favorite among drivers and riders for its complex turns and elevation changes, providing a thrilling experience for competitors and spectators alike
