About the circuit
The Circuit de Folembray, located in northern France, was established in 1975 and quickly became known for its fast and technical layout. This circuit has a storied history in motorsport, hosting a variety of competitions shortly after its inauguration, including events with notable racers such as Alain Prost, who clinched a memorable victory there. The track was particularly popular in the late 1970s and early 1980s, hosting the French touring car championship and various motorcycle races, making it a hub for both car and motorcycle racing enthusiasts. The circuit underwent several periods of closure and revival. After closing in 1984, it faced several ownership changes and proposals for redevelopment. It wasn't until 2016 that it saw a resurgence under new management, which revitalized the venue and brought back various motorsport and recreational activities. Today, Folembray is not just a racing venue but also offers track days, driving schools, and other automotive events, maintaining its legacy in the motorsport community.
